Workmanship Coverage

2-Year Limited Workmanship Warranty

Higher Ground Outdoor Living provides a two-year limited workmanship warranty beginning on the date of substantial project completion.

This warranty covers defects determined to result from our workmanship or installation. If a covered workmanship defect is identified during the warranty period, we will inspect the reported condition and, at our discretion, repair or replace the affected workmanship at no cost to the homeowner.

Product Coverage

Manufacturer Warranties

Many products we install—including decking, railing, pergolas, lighting, pavers, appliances, and other specialty products—may be covered by separate manufacturer warranties.

Manufacturer warranties are provided by the product manufacturer and are subject to that manufacturer’s terms, conditions, registration requirements, and exclusions. Higher Ground Outdoor Living will provide available warranty documentation and reasonable assistance with manufacturer warranty claims when requested.

Important Details

Warranty Exclusions

The workmanship warranty does not cover:

  • Normal weathering, fading, expansion, contraction, checking, or movement of materials due to environmental exposure.
  • Routine maintenance or normal wear and tear.
  • Damage resulting from storms, flooding, wind, falling trees or limbs, fire, lightning, or other acts of nature.
  • Damage caused by abuse, misuse, negligence, accidents, or improper maintenance.
  • Alterations, repairs, or modifications performed by others after project completion.
  • Movement or failure of existing structures, foundations, retaining walls, soils, or site conditions beyond our control.
  • Damage resulting from improper drainage, erosion, landscaping activities, pool chemicals, salt exposure, or other environmental conditions.
  • Manufacturer product defects or failures covered under separate manufacturer warranties.

Natural Materials

Real materials change over time.

Wood and other natural materials may experience checking, cracking, shrinking, swelling, color variation, and other changes due to seasonal weather conditions and natural aging. These characteristics are expected and are not considered workmanship defects.

Warranty Service Process

Tell us promptly when you discover an issue.

Please submit a warranty request promptly after discovering an issue. Include your name, project address, a description of the condition, and clear photographs when available.

Higher Ground Outdoor Living reserves the right to inspect the reported condition before authorizing warranty repairs.

Our Philosophy

We believe the best warranty is exceptional construction.

Rather than relying on lengthy warranty promises, we focus on quality craftsmanship, premium materials, clear communication, and attention to detail throughout every project. Our success is measured not by how often we perform warranty work, but by how rarely our customers ever need it.
